INNOVATIVE DRAWING WORKSHOPS
BY HARRY POTTER ARTIST
CLIFF WRIGHT
The
workshops will demonstrate
how I draw. Through
experience and teaching
I have come to realise
that the true nature
of drawing is not some
mysterious gift bestowed
upon a select few. The
potential for creativity
is within us all. Exercises
are designed to take
the fear out of drawing
- especially if you
are a beginner - drawing
can be relaxing, fun
and a magical journey
of self-discovery. It
will also enable you
to see the world around
you more vividly, as
if for the first time.
Natural environments
have the capacity to
slow down the thinking
process and allow the
intuitive response.
By tuning into the living
world through focused
attention, we can find
the space to overcome
limitations, both mental
and physical.
Drawing is about yourself,
rather than a comparison
with anyone else. The
workshop atmosphere
is informal, light-hearted
and non-competitive.
There will be plenty
of opportunity to receive
feedback about your
work and to ask questions
as group numbers are
kept small. Responding
to your needs as they
arise, the sessions
run as spontaneously
as possible, making
them all different!
Drawing is a universal
language, it transcends
barriers and penetrates
to the core of our understanding
of who we truly are,
and thus can also help
those with learning
difficulties and disabilities.
Nature of Drawing workshops
provide a safe place
to practice those abilities
you never knew you had!
Nature of Seeing workshops
take us further along
the path of self-discovery.
Although still drawing-based,
they will explore other
ways to create the conditions
necessary for the creative
process to flow. |

Thank-you
for your calm and supportive
manner, allowing us
to gain a real insight.
Serena Spencer-Jones
I will continue to draw
on this experience and
hope to share another
day with you.
Nicola Rhodes
Thank-you so much for
a wonderful workshop.
I cant look at
anything the way I did
before.
